Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of Winona Ryder named her for the town she grew up in. The father of her Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's father was born into the Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. Uria is Ryder's younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are her half-siblings. Ryder's parents relocated her and their children into Mendocino County California when Ryder was seven years old. There, they didn't have electricity. There was no television books was her only source of entertainment for her time, and she was a voracious reader. Ryder, then 12, enrolled at the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. In the year she turned 15years old, Ryder was offered her very first role on screen, in Lucas. Ryder experienced bullying at high school. Her hope was that acting could bring change. However, the plan didn't pan out. But she pushed on with her dreams. In 1988, it was in the year Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that was her breakthrough. Ryder continued playing roles that were successful in a variety of films. In 1993, she received an Academy Awards in the film The Age of Innocence.
